As a first-time homebuyer, I would like to suggest that all parties involved in the home buying process maintain consistent communication and ensure the customer is kept fully informed. At the beginning of the process, when I spoke with the home sales representative and my realtor, I was transparent about the amount I had for closing costs. Initially when I started the conversation about mortgage, I was informed that interest rates will be starts at 2.99% and 5.99% annually, but closing costs were higher than expected. I came back with the sales representative and my realtor, and after further discussions my closing cost budget was approved, and I proceeded with my decision to purchase the home based on that information. However, about a week after the contract was signed and earnest money paid, Kevin reached out and due closing costs (informed and agreed in advance) , I could no longer access the same interest rate buydown rates previously presented. Nobody told me that my closing cost budget discussed and approved would determine interest rate changes. Additionally, the closing day was quite stressful, as Kevin's team faced challenges completing everything on time despite efforts to provide all requested documents promptly. As a result of the last-minute adjustments, I had to make an unexpected payment of USD 249.34. This required me to visit my bank during my closing day to obtain a check for this remaining amount — despite confirming the closing amount and scheduling a wire transfer the day before to avoid such issues. It was a good opportunity to work with Kevin and his team and hope this feedback helps improve future experiences

This was a very last minute decision, and working with Kevin made it the smoothest process possible. Our lender preferred we go through Kevin and I'm super thankful that he did. The communication, flexibility, explanations, and customer service was absolutely outstanding. My fiancé and I are first time home buyers so every question we had, Kevin had a solution for. He also gave us multiple loan scenarios to choose from, even when we were just looking at one, and we really appreciated being able to consider all of our options as well.
